Anyhow today we talked about K.I.S.S – Keep It Simple Stupid !!

Too many people move way beyond the basics when it comes to nutrition, exercise, lifestyle choices rather than following the basics (which they KNOW works) and doing them often.

We live in a society where we want results or answers and want them quickly.

There’s new diets cropping up most months, there’s info/advice on social media, magazines, tv, and to be honest it probably damn well confuses the majority of people?!?!

 

It’s often the basics, the simple things, that when done often will bring great results, without having to make too many major sacrifices. Join FreeFit and continue to work with #KISS principles to get results!

Food –

Cut back on wheat, bread, pasta, sugar, processed foods and alcohol.

Eat more lean protein (eggs, meats, fish) with vegetables, salads, fruits and nuts. Use flavourings and herbs. Meals don’t have to be boring – that’s just a state/or limit of your mind!

Have some treats, but if they are occurring more often than not, you’re side stepping.

Keep water levels to a minimum of 1.5 litres a day

 

Sleep and Stress Less

Get enough and quality sleep! Aim for around 8 hours of sleep, and when you go DOES matter, here will tell you why

Worry less about what other thing of you or how you might be judged – the more you are “yourself” the happier you will be and people will see you for what you are.

Stop worrying about things you can’t influence the outcome of – if you think about it, it is pointless worrying?!

Write a list of things causing you stress or worry – half the stress will be removed by just writing it down, and removing it from your head!

You can then start addressing each issue; Do you need to worry about it? Can you take action steps towards it now? Can you get someone else in to help lift the burden?

 

Exercise

Get moving! Find something you enjoy – you’re more likely to stick to it.

Start jogging, do some bodyweight exercises at home (plenty on Youtube including here ) join and online progamme for guidance and for extra support  which is crucial to share struggles, get support and backup when times get hard or great!

Do the above, and do it often! It doesn’t have to be masses, but just ensure you’re doing something – even book it into your diary so it’s there. Planning, or lack of is one of the biggest killers of results

 

Remember – Small steps can lead into big journeys.    Bigger steps can get you there quicker, but will demand more self-control/willpower.    Side steps, and changing how you do things too often, does that – moves you side ways, and rarely forward.

 

Re-affirm the basics

Do them well.

Do them often

Then re-assess and look to take the next steps.
