Placebo effect?!

How many times have you heard the phrase;
“I don’t reckon it does anything – it’s the placebo effect”!
 
The placebo effect – basically believing something is helping, improving or benefiting you, when in reality there’s no physical substance or input from the ‘source’.
 
– Who gives a shit?!
 
I’m a massive believer (as you’ve likely read)
in self improvement.
 
Whether this comes from external sources,
or internal sources (your own beliefs)
 
it doesn’t matter……..
 
** Just as long as whatever you’re doing isn’t costing you a lot of money, or unhealthy for you! **
 
See, in reality – EVERYTHING is a form of ‘placebo’.
 
We ALL hold our own Belief System – what we BELIEVE to be true…..
Often based on memories and happenings
from the past that we’ve agreed with,
but also built and stored from things we do now.
 
>> If we hear, or see something, and believe it to be TRUE,
it gets stored in our belief system – this is why we ALL have own own opinions around something —- these are our beliefs <<
 
*** What we BELIEVE IS OUR TRUTH. ***
Whether it’s right or wrong, that’s the case.
 
This is why,
it’s crucial to seek Data over Drama
when we get thoughts or limiting beliefs
that concern us………
 
—-> Question your thoughts.
 
Because just like the “Placebo Effect”,
you’ll always believe what you WANT TO.
 
\\ Sometimes it’s beneficial, and you’ll ‘surprise’ yourself with choices and actions you take.
 
// Sometimes it’s not, and you’ll believe what you tell yourself, maybe not do something you want to, might make choices you don’t really want to, and feel shittier, stressed and frustrated.
 
You OWN your thoughts.
They DON’T own you.
 
Embrace the placebo effect – because you WILL believe what you tell yourself, if you truly believe it, and back it up with DATA.
